About Guangrao
Guangrao county is located in the south of Lubei plain, the yellow river delta and Dongying City. It is 42 kilometers long from north to south and 53 kilo-
meters wide from west to east,with a total area of 1138 square kilometers. To its east is Weifang city, to its west is Bingzhou city, to its south is Zibo city, to it north is Dongying city and to its northeast is B-
ohai laizhou bay . Guangrao has a total coastli ne of 11.86 kilometers. Under the jurisdiction of Guan-
grao, there are 10 towns,2 offices and 533 village-
s with a total population of 4.8 million people.
Guangrao was named Le’an in the ancient time. It has a long history of civilization and the ancient cu-
ltural traditions have brought forth many noted hist-
oric figures. For example, Le’an is the home of Sun Wu(also name Sun Zi), a great military strateg-
ist of the Autumn period whose the Art of War has become a world-recognized “strategy classic” and is still widely applied both in China and abroad in military and economic affairs. Fujia site(archaeo-
logical finding) indicates that as long as 5700 years ago, there were human beings multiplying here. Th-
eir culture is named Da Wenkou culture now. The numerous ancient traces and human sights let Gu-
angrao have abundant tourism resources.The Nan-
song palace locating at the south of Guangrao co-
unty is the best saved and the earliest wooden ar-
chitecture, and it is also the state-level protected cultural relic.Boqin Dais locating at the east of the ancient Le’an is the site of the Le’an which is a city of the State of Qi during the Autumn Period(770B.C.-476B.C.),It is known as the first dais of Qilu.
